Visit Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge to explore the natural beauty of Bloomington, a 5,670-hectare protected area designed to protect wetlands within 113 kilometers, as well as migratory birds, fish and other wildlife. Walk along the road in the reserve and explore different habitats, including grassland and floodplain forests. Ride or walk to Old Cedar Avenue Bridge across the Minnesota River to enjoy the fascinating scenery of Bloomington and the reserve. In the Japanese garden of Normandale Community College, you will see 300 trees and shrubs, drum-shaped bridges, waterfalls, streams, lagoons and Buddhist pagodas still in Japanese style. Before you finish your trip, don't forget to go to the Bloomington Center for the Art Art Center, where exhibitions are displayed all year round and theatre and dance performances are undertaken.
