Extreme temperatures range from −20 °F (−29 °C) on January 16, 1972, up to 108 °F (42 °C) on July 25, 1892, although, as of 2013, 100 °F (38 °C)+ temperatures have only been recorded nine times since record-keeping began in 1877, five of which occurred in 1892 alone.
