Let’s get closer to Elakala Falls
Elakala Falls is located in Blackwater Falls State Park in West Virginia. Its name comes from the local Aboriginal legend of Princess elakala. It's said that the princess ended her life near the falls because of her husband's blame. Later, people used lakala as the name of the falls to commemorate it.
Lakala waterfall is composed of four waterfalls, the first one is 11 meters high, the second one is 4.6 meters high, which is the smallest one among the four waterfalls, the third one is the highest, which is 12 meters high, but it is not easy to reach, the fourth one is the most difficult to approach, and there is no path, so it is generally not recommended to take a risk visit. Lakala waterfall is a popular waterfall for photographers. Each of the four waterfalls has its own characteristics and charm. Although there is no huge momentum, its comfortable and peaceful atmosphere is fascinating. The birds and flowers here are fragrant, elegant and quiet, which makes people feel relaxed and happy. It is absolutely the best place to explore the nature.
