The Well-known Idaho Museum of natural history
The
Idaho Museum of natural history is located on the campus of Idaho State University in Boca Trow. It was founded in 1934 by a group of dedicated professors and researchers. It focuses on the exhibition of Idaho's natural history. It allows visitors to understand the natural development, historical changes and important natural and cultural heritage of Idaho from ancient times to the present.
At the beginning, the museum only had more than 5000 pieces. After years of collection, the museum now has a collection of 500000 pieces, focusing on the collection, protection and exhibition of natural heritage in Idaho and the western mountains. The collection in the museum can be divided into three parts, namely anthropology, earth science and life science. Anthropology studies the diversity of human culture, archaeology, language, human biology and human evolution. It has collections of objects from the ice age of Idaho to modern times. These articles tell us how human beings survive and how to use the energy provided by nature. Earth science focuses on the natural history of rocks, ores and fossils, and has a large collection of rocks, ores and fossils found in Idaho. Life science shows the animals and plants that live in Idaho, including rodents such as flying squirrels, gerbils, beavers and marmots, as well as reptiles, amphibians and birds.
In addition to the exhibitions in the museum, the Idaho Museum of natural history also hosts a variety of educational programs aimed at people of different ages, so that everyone can experience Idaho's natural history and learn from it.
